What this policy covers
Hatchi is a social goal-tracking app with pet progression, room customization, friend features, shared goals, notifications, and rewarded ads. This policy applies to information you provide directly, information created through your use of the app, and limited technical information collected through the services that power Hatchi.
HatchiStudio aims to handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian and Quebec privacy laws, including PIPEDA and applicable Quebec privacy requirements.
Collection
Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
Account information
Email address, sign-in method, account identifier, display name, friend code, and basic account settings.
App content and progression data
Goals, tasks, completion history, streaks, pet name and appearance, evolution progress, room setup, rewards, and other in-app progression data.
Social data
Friend requests, friend lists, shared goals, goal invitations, party invitations, and progress visible to invited users or connected friends.
Notifications and device-related data
Push notification token, app version, general device details, crash or diagnostic context you send to support, and settings related to notifications.
Location data
If you choose to attach a location to a goal or activity, Hatchi may process location information that you actively provide or allow through device permissions.
Analytics and ad-related data
App events such as onboarding progress, goal completion, pet evolution, item unlocks, and rewarded ad interactions. Advertising partners may also process device or ad identifiers subject to their own policies.

Provide the service
Create and manage accounts, save your goals and pet progress, synchronize data across devices, deliver support, and operate friend and shared-goal features.
Improve and secure Hatchi
Monitor performance, understand feature usage, fix bugs, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security and reliability.
Send service communications
Deliver push notifications, invitation alerts, reminders, and essential service messages based on your settings and app activity.
Support advertising and future monetization
Provide rewarded ads in the app and, if Hatchi introduces paid features later, support billing, entitlement, and account administration.
Sharing
When information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:
With service providers that help operate Hatchi, including Google services such as Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Storage, and Google AdMob.
With other users when you use social features such as friend requests, shared goals, or party/invitation features.
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of HatchiStudio, users, or the public.
Children
Children's privacy
Hatchi is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, you should not use Hatchi or submit personal information through the app.
If HatchiStudio learns that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, HatchiStudio will take reasonable steps to delete that information.
Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has used Hatchi may contact support@hatchistudio.com.
Retention
How long we keep data
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Hatchi, maintain your account, provide social and progression features, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.
If you delete your account, HatchiStudio will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, subject to technical constraints, backups, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and records needed to protect the service.
Choices
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
You can request support by emailing support@hatchistudio.com. You may also be able to manage or delete your account from within the app settings.
You can control device-level permissions such as notifications and location in your operating system settings.
Transfers
International processing
Hatchi uses service providers that may process or store information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States and other jurisdictions where those providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have privacy laws that differ from the laws in Quebec.
By using Hatchi, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions as necessary to operate the service.
Updates
Changes to this policy
HatchiStudio may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are material, HatchiStudio may update the effective date above and may provide additional notice inside the app or on the website.
